The greatly anticipated Borneo Ladies Golf Challenge Trophy (BLGCT) is back after a lapse of 3 years! The 21st Borneo Ladies Golf Challenge Trophy 2023 will be played at Kelab Golf Miri on 16th and 17th March 2023. This ever popular annual golf tournament amongst the lady golfers in Borneo was to have been played in March 2020 but was cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The organising committee headed by its Org Chairlady, Ms. Marilyn Raja-Wright is greatly encouraged by the overwhelming response. A record number of 150 participants from 18 clubs from Sabah, Labuan, Brunei and host Sarawak will be participating. Amongst the many prizes to be won will be a Hole-In-One prize over 2 days for Holes 9 and 16 respectively.
The 2 days’ event will end up with a Prize Presentation Dinner on 17th at 7.30 p.m at the Imperial Hotel Miri. Amongst the invited guests for the dinner will be the Patron, YBhg Datin Esther Balan, wife of YB Datuk Gerawat Gala, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Labour, immigration and Project Monitoring) and the main sponsor YB Dato Sri Abdul Karim Hamzah Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, Performing Arts, Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak, local dignitaries and sponsors
